I am a Registered Social Worker & Psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba. I am in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I have over 15 years’ experience working in mental health, providing support to adults of all ages in a variety of roles within the community and hospital settings. I am passionate about the support I provide and prioritize clients feeling safe, accepted and heard during our work together.
I offer counselling for a range of presenting issues and life goals including PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions/stressors, and addictions. In my work I draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches including but not limited to, EMDR, CBT, DBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy
My primary goal is to build meaningful, therapeutic relationships and to achieve this I use a stengths based, person centered, trauma informed perspective. In addition to my clinical work, I am also a part-time instructor at St Lawrence College where I enjoy teaching students in the areas of mental health, addictions and developmental psychology.
