I am open to supporting anyone (cis, trans, non-binary); ages 15-55, LGTBQ2+ - experiencing PTSD symptoms. If you are looking for a therapist who wants to work within a holistic and narrative approach; where your needs are at the forefront, I am your therapist. I specialize in working with clients who are currently experiencing PTSD symptoms, suicidal ideation, and struggling on a daily basis to maintain the functioning they previously had. Contact me if you think I sound like a fit for you!
My specialization is providing support for those experiencing trauma related symptoms, depression, anxiety and substance use. I specialize in treating trauma related symptoms by acquiring certifications and trainings for Cognitive Processing Therapy and Narrative Therapy . Alexa is skilled in Narrative Therapy, CBT, DBT, Structured Relapse Prevention.
As a Métis woman and member of the 2SLGBTQi+ I work hard to understand every client that I meet through a strength based and narrative approach. My work is decolonized that understands the barriers in our health care system. When working with my clients they are in the drivers seat at all times and they lead the conversation. Safety and trust is my priority.
