Although the adults whom I assist come with a wide range of presenting problems - such as sexual dysfunctions, mental health issues, relationship conflict, and addictions, the underlying problem is that we are all suffering emotionally, longing to feel understood, and to acquire the tools that will relieve our distress.
Although suffering is triggered by difficult problems in our lives, it's intensity comes old, distressing feelings we avoid by way of defenses that helped us to survive emotionally in the past, but which now are causing the suffering. As I help clients to embrace rather than avoid distressing feelings, problems resolve and happiness increases.
Having had years of my own personal therapy and 30 years of counselling experience, I have not only deep compassion for your emotional suffering, but also the training, tools, and confidence to help you feel safe, understood, and to assist you in genuine healing/growth.
