I work mainly with challenges faced by women and children related to immigration and reintegration in another country, addiction, mental health, marginalization and relationships. My number one goal is to meet people where they are at and walk along with them on their journey towards a more rewarding and fulfilling one, where they can resolve or gain a different perspective on their situation, and is and learn new skills to help them through life. Clients strengths are highlighted and they are motivated to develop autonomy and confidence in their ability to make important decisions that affect their wellbeing.
Cultural sensitivity, respect and empathy are key features embedded in my work. I specialize in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-focused therapy and family therapy. Other approaches may be used based on the issues presented. Motivational interviewing and trauma informed practices are also used to create a safe space for clients to share their stories.
Everyday we are faced with challenges that have varying degrees of impact on our lives. Sometimes a little help is needed to help address some of these concerns. Feel free to reach out to me. I'm willing to walk with you on your journey towards finding solutions to address your unique situation.
