We assist clients who are experiencing disordered eating, challenges with body image and eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder. We accept clients through self referral. Our clients want to heal their relationship with food. This could include a change in preoccupation with weight and/or food, changing strict food rules, breaking free from diet culture, and building a positive body image. We accept clients through self referral. We have locations in West Edmonton, South Edmonton and Downtown Edmonton as well as Southwest Calgary, Alberta.
The AWCED is a multi-disciplinary, family-centered practice that specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and eating related struggles, across the lifespan. Our clinic has many therapists whose fee vary, dieticians, and a registered nurse, who integrate best practice guidelines, evidence-based treatments, and promising innovative approaches.
Our center embodies a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, family-centered approach to eating disorders treatment, focused on healing from within. We approach treatment from a holistic lens, which addresses not only physical healing but also psychological, emotional, relational, and spiritual. We believe everyone is capable of making a full recovery.
