About
Difficult times are inevitable. We all experience them and can sometimes use extra support. Whether the struggles are due to relationships, work, mental health, or anything else, they are all valid and deserving of attention, empathy, and support. Maybe you are feeling stuck and cannot see a way out of your current situation, maybe you have found yourself in a seemingly unbreakable pattern, or maybe you know how to break the pattern, but just can’t seem to will yourself to do it. I will provide you a safe and non-judgmental environment to help you organize your thoughts, identify root causes of issues, and plan next steps.
First as a high school teacher and then as an assistant principal, I have dedicated my professional career to working with others to achieve their goals. After working in schools, I obtained a Masters of Science and an Education Specialist degree in Counselling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro so that I could practice as a psychotherapist.
With me, you will be heard and the focus will be on what you determine is most important. Although I provide an individualized approach that varies depending on each client’s particular needs, all of my clients experience active listening, empathy, and non-judgment.
