Sometimes when we are caught in one of life's toughest moments, we seek support. That support can look like how to process a situation, validation, a listening ear, problem solving, and so forth. Therapy can be many things or it can be one. I offer a client - centred approach with empathy. If you are looking for someone you can relate to, I am a parent to young children, I have experienced PPA/D, loss, abandonment, unhealthy relationships, and more. If you are interested in working together but still not sure, we can have a 15-20 minute chat to help you with that decision.
I have worked with children and adolescents for most of my life and since becoming a mother, I expanded my work to parenting. I have attended perinatal mental health training and currently enrolled in a grief and bereavement perinatal certificate program. In addition, I have personal experience with intergenerational trauma that can influence parenting.
If you need to craft or do anything during therapy as a means to cope or manage any uncomfortable feelings you may have, go for it. I am here to help and support you with your goals. The sessions are for you and it is imperative that you as the client express your needs and concerns in a safe and comfortable way.
