"Hello! I am a Registered Psychologist, passionate about supporting children, youth, and parents during times of challenge. I feel that there is a great capacity for growth within the moments that feel the hardest. I am well-versed in working with children and youth who have experienced simple and complex trauma, and supporting parents/caregivers in responding to behaviours associated with such experiences. I believe that while mental health challenges in childhood and adolescence can be impactful, early intervention can have a positive impact on long term development."

"It can be hard to enjoy life, especially when our automatic reactions and thoughts are painful or problematic. When we have additional stress from our work, relationships, health concerns, or previous negative experiences, it can feel like our lives are "stuck" on autopilot and out of control. I enjoy helping people get "unstuck" from these symptoms of burnout, anxiety, panic, sadness, irritability, and other difficult thoughts and sensations. By reducing stress within our system, we can manage our responsibilities and our health much easier. Therapy can help restore an inner calm and can help you come back to yourself."

"So many of our emotional wounds are created in the context of early relationships with others, so it makes sense to me that the genuineness, attunement, unconditional love, and healthy boundaries modeled within the therapeutic relationship can be so healing later in life. I take great pleasure in providing people with these potentially “missed experiences”, because the world is simply a brighter place when we feel seen, heard, understood, and SAFE. With your permission, I will challenge you. Together, we'll courageously work to align the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of your being to foster a greater sense of wholeness."

"20 years ago I began work in mental health as respite care. I later completed my professional goals of becoming a psychologist. It was always my goal to encourage hope and well being in the lives of others who may struggle to find their place. From the moment we are born we search for connection, love, and a sense of belonging. Growing up, in life this journey can be fraught with struggle, trauma, pain, and loss. But there is a silver lining. Amidst adversity we find courage and authenticity. We can find acceptance and the understanding of self compassion and empathy, that leads into true connection with ourselves and others."

"Life can be difficult. Trying to address these difficulties ourselves may feel overwhelming. I support the individuals I meet by working collaboratively with them in non-judgmental, supportive environments where goals can be established, and movement towards positive change can occur regardless of where one might be in the change process. I believe in highlighting a person's strengths, and empowering them to achieve what they are hoping to. I respect that each person's needs within therapy are unique, so it is a primary focus of mine to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships so I can most clearly understand and support those unique needs."

Adolescents / Teenagers (14 to 19) Counsellors
Adolescence describes the teenage years between 13 and 19 and can be considered the transitional stage from childhood to adulthood. However the physical and psychological changes that occur in adolescence can start earlier, and it can be a time of both disorientation and discovery. The transitional period can bring up issues of independence and self-identity. Sometimes teens may be experimenting with drugs and alcohol or sexuality. During this time, peer groups and external appearance tend to increase in importance.

For help with adolescents or for a T8N adolescent counsellor these professionals provide help for adolescent development and adolescent education. They include adolescent counsellors in T8N, adolescent psychologists, and adolescent therapists. They can help with adolescent behavior, adolescent learning and adolescent discipline.

T8N teen counsellors also provide help for troubled teens in T8N or troubled teen boys and girls. For parents of out-of-control teens, T8N counsellors can help with communicating and understanding your teen. And counsellors in T8N can help with teenager behavior and teen learning issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in T8N are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counsellor in T8N you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counselling or couples counselling in T8N and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counselling in T8N or family therapy in T8N.
