"I am one of the Registered Social Workers at HeadWay Clinic. I have always been passionate about helping and supporting others foster positive changes in their life through empowerment and strengths-based approaches. I recognize how busy life can get sometimes, and how overwhelming wearing multiple 'hats' on a daily basis can be. I have learned that talking to others is an empowering process; to learn you are not alone in your feelings so you may find healing and establish balance to improve wellness."

"I am one of the Registered Psychotherapists here at HeadWay Clinic. For as long as I can remember, I knew I wanted to work in the mental health field. I wanted to be given the chance to help others in a way that fostered confidence, empowerment and a sense of control over their own lives. I wanted to be there for people who felt alone in their struggles and listen when they believed there was no one who cared to hear them. I quickly learned that talking to others was healing and empowering; to show them that they are not alone, and to change the narrative from ‘I have to be OK’, to ‘it’s OK to not be OK sometimes’. "

"Hi, I’m Stephanie, I am a Registered Social Worker who is passionate about helping and empowering others. Working with vulnerable people in my community helped solidify my understanding of how important it is to have a safe space to talk about strong feelings and emotions. More importantly, to look at any issue or person holistically, through a mental-health informed lens. I graduated from Laurentian University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Social Work, then completed my Master’s in Social Work in 2019. Social work helped me find my passion for advocacy which inspired me to continue my studies in law. "

"Throughout my career I have worked with men, women, youth and children through crisis management, as well as individual and group therapy sessions. My specific experience lies within family violence work and the associated impacts, trauma and children’s mental health. I have often worked with clients, who struggle to put into words what they have experienced and who feel their struggles within their bodies. My technique is a combination of talk therapy as well as art and sensory based interventions. I find that this has been helpful to help process experiences as well as alleviate impacts and symptoms. "Feeling stuck? Overwhelmed? Anxious? Experiencing relationship hurdles? Grieving a loss or simply want someone to talk to? Whatever it may be, together we can work on positive change. We can uncover the patterns of thoughts and behaviour that may holding you back. We can replace despair with hope, self-doubt with self-esteem, and sadness with joy. Simply put, we can discover your better self. You may not have a specific “problem” necessarily in mind; you don’t need to be given a reason to begin the work. "

"I imagine you're here because you're running out of ways to manage your situation and no one seems to understand what you need. I hear you. It's not uncommon for us to feel a sense of hopelessness as we attempt to differentiate between the negative mind chatter that weakens our perspective and our own truth. The heart says one thing, the head another. What story are we telling? It's not a happy one, is it😕 yet it's the one we believe. I bet you fantasize of better days and wonder, Are they worth fighting for? HECK YES!! It's in the fantasy that I can help you create a life you actually want to live✨so keep reading. I can help."

"Many things bravely lead us to seek out therapy: new life transitions, past life experiences that are affecting us now, emotions that feel too big to handle, and challenges in our relationships with partners, family, friends, and ourselves. The therapy space is where you can safely explore these vulnerable parts of your experience. It is here that you will be accepted exactly where you are, be able to express yourself without the fear of being judged and give yourself the opportunity to breathe through what feels difficult, painful, or uncertain."

Adolescents / Teenagers (14 to 19) Counsellors
Adolescence describes the teenage years between 13 and 19 and can be considered the transitional stage from childhood to adulthood. However the physical and psychological changes that occur in adolescence can start earlier, and it can be a time of both disorientation and discovery. The transitional period can bring up issues of independence and self-identity. Sometimes teens may be experimenting with drugs and alcohol or sexuality. During this time, peer groups and external appearance tend to increase in importance.

For help with adolescents or for a P3C adolescent counsellor these professionals provide help for adolescent development and adolescent education. They include adolescent counsellors in P3C, adolescent psychologists, and adolescent therapists. They can help with adolescent behavior, adolescent learning and adolescent discipline.

P3C teen counsellors also provide help for troubled teens in P3C or troubled teen boys and girls. For parents of out-of-control teens, P3C counsellors can help with communicating and understanding your teen. And counsellors in P3C can help with teenager behavior and teen learning issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in P3C are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counsellor in P3C you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counselling or couples counselling in P3C and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counselling in P3C or family therapy in P3C.
