As a husband, father, friend, and later-in-life diagnosed ADHD (inattentive type), I know the struggles we can all face in life. I enjoy collaborating through coaching and supportive counselling with adults (18+) that are oriented towards change. The challenges that block us from our preferred future can range from emotional regulation, social issues, executive functioning, work stress, addictions, and perceived issues in motivation. The challenges of ADHD are common, but are also very unique to you. The beauty is that your goals and hopes are also unique to you too. Together we set practical goals to craft that preferred future.
My extensive experience as a therapist ensures a strong clinical foundation for coaching. HOWEVER(!), practical goals/strategies is the priority. We work within the structure of cognitive-behavioural. solution-focused, educational and coaching models. I ask clients to commit to short term, 6-10 sessions (2-3 months) of work to see real change occur.
For 15 years I've supported neurodivergence from different professional lens' such as a teacher, a family/couples therapist, or concurrent disorders counsellor. These days I balance life as a professor to mental health and addictions undergraduates, and work with people (like you!) who are seeking change. If you suspect I'm a fit, please reach out!
