I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2018 and have Level 3 training in AEDP, a relational and emotion-focused approach to therapy. I don't just believe that growth, change, and healing are possible, I know it. Beyond the neuroscientific evidence for the brain's innate capacity to rewire and change throughout our lives, I know it through my work as a therapist and through my own lived experience. Both in and through relationships, human beings have an extraordinary capacity to heal, grow and to flourish.
I invite us to see symptoms as unintended consequences of the ways we needed to cope, protect ourselves, and navigate difficult emotional and relationship experiences in our past. These adaptations helped us survive difficult experiences and can leave us feeling stuck in old patterns, disconnected, overwhelmed, and feeling very alone. This can all change.
