Accepting New Clients: When faced with difficult life experiences, feelings of ‘not being good enough’ or memories of painful past events, it’s not uncommon to get stuck repeating the same old patterns as a way of trying to cope. Perhaps you struggle with anxiety, low mood, over thinking, avoiding feelings or doing too much of something (e.g., electronics, substances) or too little of something (e.g., rest, exercise, connection with loved ones). Ideally, you want to feel more at ease with yourself, making choices and decisions that serve your best, authentic interests vs. those of others.
I will help you uncover the feelings that are driving your symptoms. I will help you see that old, unconscious teachings are working against you today. You will learn to recognize how feelings are felt in your body and how you can use these feelings to get your needs met, instead of turning away from these feelings which could be influencing your symptoms.
I know this personal work will be hard. I will work to build a strong, safe, caring, direct, and no BS relationship with you so we can take an honest look at the tough stuff together. Your feedback of me will help me tailor the interventions to specifically help you. I will "show up" each session to help you feel you can take charge of your life.
