For many people, emotions are like a 'check engine' light: they suddenly appear and might not make sense. What follows is a search and some action (like seeing a therapist) to shut off this warning signal. But, what if things like stress and inflammation are actually driving your life? Depression warning of exhaustion and collapse. Anxiety signalling disconnection and a lack of support. I specialize in assessing and treating these body-mind interactions. But, it's easier to think of me like your co-pilot. I may propose small course corrections, but mostly to help you navigate towards your intended destination!
My approach is warm, collaborative, and informed by over 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. I combine strong clinical assessment skills with genuine compassion. However, my practice is best known for helping older adults manage depression, anxiety, grief, acute functional decline, and memory loss at home.
If something here resonates, you might want to introduce yourself! I'd love to connect, even if it's just a short call to make sure you've found the best fit. Sessions are eligible for reimbursement through most Health Care Spending Accounts (HCSA's) and select insurance plans.
