I relate to the uniqueness of individuals by adopting a culturally sensitive lens and person centred values in my practice. I value meeting you where you are and working with your unique needs and experiences. I am passionate about connecting with you and helping you find anchors of hope that can empower you in the midst of life’s overwhelming experiences. I approach healing with an empathic awareness and appreciation of how important aspects of an individual's identity interacts to influence their mental health. I strive to adopt an anti-oppressive and decolonizing lens that centres on resilience to inspire hope, healing & growth.
I am trained in EMDR and The Grief Recovery Method and utilize evidence based approaches including CBT, ACT, SFT, Compassion Focused Therapy and mindfulness to inform my practice. Together we can work on exploring and overcoming barriers, breaking the cycle of pain, reconnecting with your authentic self and developing a new outlook on life.
As a trauma and grief informed therapist, I create a safe, warm, compassionate and collaborative space where you are able to speak about how you feel and be seen, heard and honoured in your healing journey. My job is to be a calming centre and a source of support as I guide you in navigating life's challenges and strengthening stress management skills.
