Accepting New Client's: I am Magdalene Acquah, a Social Worker and a Psychotherapist. I hold a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from University of Toronto and am a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I have provided psychotherapy to children, families, adolescents, adults, and couples for over a decade. My passion stemmed from a broad range of personal and professional experiences. My desire has always been to work with people seeking help to address various personal issues through counselling and psychotherapy. I have always believed that a healthy mind forms the premise of healthy life
My work focuses on providing psychotherapy to individuals, children, families and couples.
I employ a variety of approaches such as Solution Focused, Emotionally Focused (EFT), Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness and Cultural Sensitive approaches to determine the most beneficial therapy to your unique situation after meeting with you.
My career has been built and shaped by my non-judgmental attitude; respectful personality; and professional demeanor. I intend to help build curiosity and resiliency in my potential clients to devise new ways of thinking about life's difficulties, and challenges, as well as to develop new skills in responding to stressors.
