I provide a calm, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll explore the patterns beneath what feels stuck and develop healthier ways of responding rather than reacting. Using attachment-informed and emotionally focused approaches, I help individuals, couples, and families strengthen connection, communication, and emotional resilience. Faith can be thoughtfully integrated when desired.

For the person who moves through the world feeling slightly out of place, I understand how quietly painful that can be... whether it shows up in your family, your relationship, your work, or in the way you speak to yourself. You've learned to excel on the outside while carrying tender, hidden beliefs about who you are. Maybe you’ve long felt like the one who doesn’t quite match the room. That kind of inner stretching leaves you feeling far from yourself, not recognizing yourself, or just 'off'. If some small part of you still imagines a life that feels deeper, truer, more peaceful—you’ve landed in the right place.

We take a holistic approach in our work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
At Wholeness Psychology Centre, we work with a variety of concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions, identity crisis, and relationship conflict. We recognize that short-term, solution-focused modalities are appropriate for some presenting concerns. For others, a more heart-centred, holistic, depth-oriented approach to therapy is necessary. Our team has the skills and training in both areas to best meet your therapeutic needs and goals. Our approach is multifaceted and involves working with several layers simultaneously and getting to the core of your experience and needs in assessments and counselling.

NOT currently taking new clients-> I enjoy supporting children, teens and parents through life's challenges such as depression, divorce, grief, anxiety, or social struggles.
Children and adolescents are continually developing and changing, often presenting new challenges for parents. My goal is to help children and teens develop coping skills for life and to help their caregivers understand and respond to their needs. Whenever possible, I support the use of a family-centered approach. I also use and enjoy sandtray therapy.

Deciding to talk to someone about your deepest and inner thoughts can be scary. You are making a decision to embark on a journey to help understand what your experiences mean to you. When we talk about our emotions, it is one step closer to healing within. The way we express ourselves can be different for everyone, and I provide a space that is safe and accepting for you to be you.

I primarily work with children, teens, and young adults who are carrying more than they know how to handle—whether that’s anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, or challenges with school, relationships, or big life transitions.
Working with children, teens, and young adults often means parents are part of the journey too. Together, we focus on building tools to manage emotions, increase confidence, and create a sense of support and connection through life’s challenges.

FAQ - About Child Therapy
When does a child need to see a therapist?
Children naturally experience emotional ups and downs. Sometimes, though, they need support from a professional. A child may benefit from therapy if their emotions or behaviours change significantly within a short period of time. For example, if a child usually spends time with friends after school but begins isolating in their room, further inquiry is warranted. Other areas for concern include altered sleep patterns, lack of appetite, intense anger, irritability, or hopelessness, or developmental regression in young children (bedwetting, thumb-sucking).

What can a child therapist help with?
A therapist can help with any difficult experience a child may encounter growing up, including learning problems or anxiety related to school, relationship challenges with friends or parents, bullying, intense emotions or phobias, divorce and family dynamics, or the death of a pet or loved one. A therapist can help children process their experience and develop coping skills in an age-appropriate way

What therapy types are most suitable for children?
Children can benefit from different forms of therapy, including family therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and exposure therapy, depending on their condition. Play therapy is a great option for younger children who may not be able to fully articulate their feelings. In this approach, kids play with toys and games while a therapist observes and helps the child express their emotions and develop coping skills.

Do I need to attend therapy with my child?
Parents are an integral part of a child’s therapy, but the specifics of their involvement vary. If your child is young, you may attend most or all sessions; if your child is older, you may attend a few sessions or none; sometimes a therapist may ask you to have a session on your own. Whatever the arrangement, you should expect to work collaboratively with the therapist, your child, and your family members to take steps to help support your child.

How can I tell if a therapist is a good fit for my child?
A child needs to feel comfortable opening up about their thoughts and feelings, so if your child feels a sense of comfort, ease, and trust with their therapist, that’s a great sign. In addition, a therapist is a good fit for your child if the two can communicate well together; a clinician should be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in an age-appropriate manner.
