I fundamentally believe that all human beings desire to feel connected, to belong, and to feel loved. Somewhere along the road, we have become disconnected, both from each other, as well as from ourselves. My goal is to have the therapy room be a safe space to repair your relationship with yourself, as well as those around you. To do this, we must build a strong therapeutic relationship. Working with marginalized populations provided me with the invaluable skill of being able to connect with people from all walks of life. Regardless of their socio-economic status, age, race, sexual orientation or gender.

It isn’t necessary to stay stuck (or alone) in painful situations or challenging circumstances. Therapy/counselling provides an opportunity to uncover and discover new understandings, strengths and resiliencies in self (and others). Therapy provides a safe space to develop action plans to explore difficult life and relationship (couple, family/parenting, separation) issues or work/career concerns. Therapy also provides a safe space to explore and develop skills in managing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ODD, etc. No problem is too big for therapy. Clinical Supervision is also available.

Hi! I'm glad you're here. Speaking from experience, I know asking for help and prioritizing your mental health is hard. Facing the difficult aspects of your life can be scary and it's more comfortable to stay in the same patterns that have helped you survive. If you find those patterns aren’t working for you anymore, it could be worth it to take that leap and reach out- and I'd love to take that step with you! I work with LGBTQIA+ community members and individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma, and relationship issues. I am also trained to assess/diagnose and treat ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Mental health challenges can present themselves through anxiety, depression, numbness, overwhelm, burnout, exhaustion, grief, angry outbursts, sleep challenges, or other psychological and physical symptoms. Although we might feel better temporarily through various coping mechanisms that help manage our symptoms, it is necessary to address the root cause of the issue to experience true healing. We will work together to target the root cause of your struggles so that you can find peace and balance within your life, while also engaging in evidence based coping tools to better manage your day-to-day mental health during this process.

My lived experience when it comes to the hardship of reconciling between my personal beliefs and cultural identity as a child of immigrant parents has led me to pursue a career in mental health and follow my dreams of helping people. I have a keen interest in supporting and working with new parents, whether that would be new mother(s) or father(s) who are transitioning into parenthood. We are each the author of our own life story, and at times it can feel like we don’t know how to write the next chapter. Perhaps you are experiencing patterns of unhelpful thoughts or behaviours, overwhelming emotions, or just can’t figure out what the obstacle is. Whatever the case may be, please know that you are not alone. I’m here to support you as you write your next chapter. It would be my privilege to work behind the scenes, encouraging you as you navigate the next (or possibly the first) step in your healing journey. To be the Alfred to your Batman, so to speak!
