I work in an integrative, trauma-informed way, drawing from approaches like EMDR, DBT, somatic, and person-centered therapy.
I don’t believe in “ideal clients” — that feels backwards to me. I welcome anyone willing to hand a piece of their real story to a stranger. I get how exhausting it is to scroll through therapist profiles, wondering who actually gets it. I won’t tell you I have all the answers — I don’t. What I do have is a room where you don’t have to hold it all together. Bring the overwhelm, the uncertainty, the anger, the numbness — we’ll sort through it side by side. You don’t have to pretend here. If you’re ready to show up, even unsure and messy, that’s more than enough.

I have a very rational and direct approach to counselling; I will say it how I see it, but with a sense of humor if appropriate. My knowledge and experience is well suited for clients that are dealing either with trauma (especially sexual violence or childhood abuse), or would like to have more effective thoughts and behaviours. Healing is not easy, but by looking at what can change, and what could be accepted, clients often find a new balance that helps their thoughts and feelings become more adaptive, helpful, and much less painful. I am currently taking clients in person or online.

I am formally trained in EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, DBT, CBT, and Somatic Therapy, evidence-based approaches that support lasting change.
Deciding to seek therapy can feel overwhelming, so I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to be here. Whether you’re looking for a check-in, navigating major life changes, or simply trying to make small shifts, I would be honoured to support you on your journey. My work is grounded in a deep understanding of trauma, addiction, and the ways shame can show up in our lives. Whether you’re exploring sobriety, processing past wounds, or struggling with emotional overwhelm, I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to explore what healing truly looks like for you.

I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities including mindfulness, yoga, somatic, compassion-focused therapy, EMDR therapy, Sports Psychology, DBT, and Gottman couples therapy, in order to support individuals in being more connected, current, and creative in their relationship with themselves and the world.
I help clients shift from just surviving into thriving; realigning with who and how they want to be instead of being hijacked by outdated narratives as a result of past experiences. My focus is on creating safe trauma-informed spaces and inspiring a compassionate curiosity about "who am I?" "How did I get to this point?" "What else might be possible?". I have always been fascinated with how our experiences shape us and how we may discover meaning and inspiration. During this quest I have worked as a strength & conditioning coach, yoga teacher, and counsellor and these experiences have uniquely shaped how I show up as a therapist.

SP is a dynamic, somatic-centered modality that integrates mindful awareness, emotional exploration, nervous system regulation, and interpersonal neurobiology to access the deeper, often unconscious, roots of experience.
As an 12-year practitioner of SP, I invite you into experiential engagement with the wisdom of the body. My primary treatment populations are those seeking to heal from relational wounds and trauma, those with self-limiting beliefs and anxiety, and those experiencing perinatal mental health concerns, including traumatic L&D and or loss.

We’re all writing our own life story, and sometimes figuring out the next chapter just takes a little time. Maybe you feel stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed, or unsure of what’s holding you back. Maybe you’re facing something completely new, like grieving a loss, welcoming a child, or navigating a big life shift. Whatever you’re facing, you’re not alone. I’d be honored to be the quiet support behind the scenes- the Alfred to your Batman- cheering you on as you take your next steps, whether it’s your first or one of many. I’m here to listen, encourage, and gently challenge you as you navigate the next chapter of your life.

As a registered psychologist and having been in private practice for 14 years, I have had the privilege to meet and work with many wonderful couples, families and individuals. I strive to establish a solid rapport with clients in a comfortable environment. I have been told that clients appreciate my professional and direct approach that is not overly formal and allows for humour when appropriate. I use a biopsychosocial approach and incorporate several therapeutic modalities. I work to not only focus on managing symptoms, but getting down to the root cause of what is getting in the way of being able to achieve one’s goals.

I work primarily from a Hakomi ( somatic) and Motivational Interviewing approach.
Life experiences can hinder our emotional, mental, or spiritual growth, making it difficult to move forward in an effective way. My experience has been working with teens, men, and women and their issues with trauma, addictions, OCD, eating disorders, and anxiety. I am passionate about helping my clients understand how the brain works and taking a strength-based approach to developing skills. The research focus of my thesis was on resiliency in Indigenous adults with FASD. Together, we can find the power within you.

Finding lasting relief from difficulties like depression, anxiety, trauma, or medically unexplained physical symptoms (e.g., IBS, tension headaches, or pain) can be difficult. Perhaps you have been trying to address your issues via coping skills, self-help books, or by accessing various health care providers. If you continually feel stuck, are in pain, or are confused about why your symptoms aren’t improving, you might be ready to look into the underlying emotional factors contributing to your symptoms. Together, we can understand and address the roots of your problems so that you can stop suffering and start living.

Through trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness, and somatic (mind-body) techniques—gently noticing and releasing tension in the body—I help you reconnect with yourself, heal, and restore balance.
Hi, I'm Natalie (she/her), & I’m glad you’re here! It’s okay if things feel heavier than you expected. You might be feeling anxious, stretched thin, or tired of carrying so much on your own. Perhaps you’re navigating stress in relationships, work or school, identity shifts, life transitions, or the lingering impact of medical trauma— especially if you work in healthcare or have cared for others in challenging circumstances. You’re wanting steadiness and space to breathe — a place to slow down, feel understood, and gently reconnect with yourself in a way that feels real and sustainable. I’m here to hold space for you & welcome you.

I deeply believe that the body knows what needs to be healed and holds the keys to that healing. Our systems, however, are so good at keeping us safe that we often can't access those keys alone. I use a range of tools to facilitate that healing, including conversation, meditation, visualization, mindfulness, IFS, AEDP, and sometimes energy work depending on the individual I am working with. I aim to be feminist, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive, which means the client is always the expert on their own experience. We work collaboratively using a range of tools to find the right path forward for you.

I’m EMDR-trained and blend narrative therapy, ACT, and somatic awareness to support deep healing.
Hi! I’m Melanie! Therapist. Human. Deep feeler. If you’ve ever felt stuck - whether in therapy, in your relationships, or just in life - you’re not alone. A lot of people find their way to me when they’re craving something deeper, more transformative, and more connected to who they really are. This space is real, raw, and rooted in possibility. We sit in the hard stuff - grief, anxiety, overwhelm, identity shifts - but we don’t stay stuck there.
