I work with adults who carry a lot of responsibility, grief, pressure, or quiet exhaustion. Many feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others. Together, we create space to slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and begin moving forward with clarity, steadiness, and a renewed sense of direction.

Dismantling the myths around sex and sexuality to help people feel more comfortable in their bodies is my goal as a therapist. Inviting people to consider the role pleasure has in their lives and encouraging them to explore how to increase play and joy in their daily lives is important. I help people become of aware of the answers they already have: I am not the expert, you are. My practice is based in attachment theory and trauma. My focus is helping people understand the physiological and developmental processes behind their behaviours, guiding people towards lasting change while providing a caring and compassionate place to heal.

I’m an integrative person-centred counselling therapist who works in a warm, collaborative way. Many people who reach out to me do so after feeling like other approaches haven’t quite fit — like they weren’t fully heard, or like they were running out of options. My hope is to offer a different kind of space where you’re met with sensitive care, taken seriously, and gently supported in reconnecting with a sense of possibility and hope for healing, even if that feels hard to imagine right now. Through a variety of counselling modalities, we'll work together to ensure every part of you is supported through your journey.

You’ve carried pain longer than anyone knows. You’ve been betrayed, abandoned, overlooked. You want to feel whole. Not just functioning, but alive. You’re tired of performing, tired of pretending, and ready to be seen. Not analyzed, not managed, but truly witnessed. You want to feel rooted again, realigned with what matters. You’re searching for clarity, connection and the courage to remember who you are. You’re ready to feel unburdened, not just in body; but in soul.

Maybe you've tried traditional talk therapy and still feel like something is missing. The truth is, healing isn’t just about words—it’s about how we experience life through our bodies and senses. Our stories, emotions, and wounds are stored deep within us, waiting to be seen, expressed, and transformed. Are you done feeling as if life is moving on autopilot? Do you long to regain a sense of control, reconnect with yourself, and live more fully? If you have a deep desire for self-exploration and healing—one that nurtures self-acceptance, compassion, and playfulness—then I invite you to take this step with me.

Life transitions, daily stressors, trauma, and mental illnesses can negatively influence the way we think, feel, and behave. Hence, I acknowledge you for making the first step into finding what works best for you. How does music therapy work?
A music therapist will begin by assessing the client’s specific needs and getting a sense of their musical ability and interests. Musical training is not required, and clients of all ages can benefit from this type of therapy. The therapist will then make a plan for how to achieve the client’s therapeutic goal(s) using a range of receptive (e.g., listening to a song) and active (e.g., drumming in a group) music therapy techniques.

What are some common music therapy techniques?
Music therapy usually involves listening to music (either live or recorded). Music therapy clients may also make music on popular instruments, such as the piano, guitar, and hand drum, or sing. Sometimes music therapy can include guided imagery. A music therapist may ask clients to improvise on the spot or even compose their own songs. Dancing or moving to music can be an effective intervention to help clients feel more fully grounded in their bodies and remain in the present moment.

How does music therapy help with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?
Music therapy can be a valuable creative outlet for clients with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who have trouble putting their painful feelings into words. Listening to music can be relaxing while making music as part of a group provides plenty of opportunities to connect with other people. In addition to its mood-boosting effects, music therapy can help clients build resilience and overcome PTSD symptoms that may interfere with their daily lives.

How long does music therapy take?
Music therapy sessions generally last between 30 and 50 minutes. They can be scheduled in advance (for example, once a week) or can be done on an as-needed basis. Some clients will only require a handful of music therapy sessions to achieve their goals, while others may need months or longer, depending on their specific concern.
