I like to work with a variety of presenting problems, but specialize in anxiety, perfectionism, relationship problems, and men's issues.
I work primarily from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) lens, which essentially involves uncovering your core beliefs, and reassessing any "negative" core beliefs that are impacting you, reshaping them to more positive ones that better align with you and your therapeutic goals.

Along with helping clients with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, substance use and other mental health challenges, much of our therapy work falls into 1 of 5 areas: Parenting Support and Child/Adolescent Therapy • Men's Issues & Mental/Emotional Health • Relationship Health • Career transition and work-related counselling • Separation and Divorce.
Let's face it, life can feel unbearable at times and relationships and parenting are emotionally taxing. If you're reading this and this is your first time working with a psychologist, this is likely not a high moment for you. Rarely do clients start a session with, "My life is great! Things couldn't be better!" The reality is you're struggling, feeling lost and in pain, things are not going well for you or someone you care about, and we have entered the picture somewhere along the way. That you trust a therapist or anyone else enough to connect with you in that struggle is tough to do, and a responsibility we do not take lightly.

I help support men who commonly experience disconnect in their life; primarily in their interpersonal, intimate and sexual relationships ( Men's Issues).
Connection isn’t just about relationships with others — it’s about feeling steady in yourself, secure in your body, and clear about what you want. I work with folks exploring intimacy, identity, and emotional healing, especially around sex and relationships. Maybe you’ve felt shut down, stuck in people-pleasing, or caught in patterns that don’t feel like you — like using sex to numb, seeking validation, or avoiding closeness. You’re not broken. These are coping strategies that once made sense. In therapy, we’ll meet those parts with care, not shame, and support you in moving toward deeper authenticity, safety, and connection.

Hi there. It’s easy to feel like you should have it all together—even when things feel heavy underneath. Many of the people I work with are carrying anxiety, trauma, burnout, or are stuck in addictive patterns involving a screen. There’s often pressure to keep going, even while something deeper is asking for attention. Therapy can be a space to pause, get honest, and reconnect with what actually matters. My role is to help you better understand yourself, work through what’s getting in the way, and move forward with more clarity and confidence. You don’t need to be in crisis or have the perfect words—just a willingness to start.

You might feel like you’re holding everything together on the outside, while inside, you're exhausted, anxious, disconnected, or stuck. Your body may be sounding alarms - tension, gut issues, or burnout - and no matter how much you think your way through it, you can’t seem to feel better. It’s like you're constantly in your head and can’t get out. Maybe you’re longing for deeper connection, clarity, or just a space where you don’t have to explain it all. When you’ve been carrying so much for so long, it can feel hard to imagine doing it differently - especially on your own.

You struggle to feel like you're good enough. No matter how hard you try it feels like you don't measure up and you're always falling short. It's hard to find a space where you can truly belong and be yourself. Sometimes you feel overwhelmed by your life and relationships. Other times you feel completely hopeless. You are ready to let go of the belief that you were never good enough and begin to feel comfortable being yourself. Therapy can be a space where you can show up just as you are and learn to love yourself. It's your time to take off the masks, let go of the pressure, and begin to connect with your true self.

Struggling in silence? There is hope. Lets work through it together! Do you wake up feeling drained, wishing you could stay in bed, questioning the purpose of it all? Do you feel trapped, lonely, overwhelmed, stressed, or disconnected from others? Do thoughts like "I'm not good enough," "I'm a failure," or "I don't matter" run through your mind? Is it hard to focus or find joy in activities that once brought you happiness? Are painful memories from childhood, a recent loss, or a traumatic event affecting your ability to manage daily life? Are these thoughts and feelings affecting your personal relationships?

Whether you are hoping to address issues related to your career, your family, or your relationships, or you wish to overcome problems like depression, anxiety, stress management, or grief, I do my best to provide a non-judgemental space for people to work on those issues. I also provide formal assessment services, if you would like to achieve a better understanding of your issues. Finally, some of my clients also need support in managing behaviours that place them (or could place them) in conflict with the law, such as issues related to anger, violence or sexual behaviours.

Men are you exhausted all the time, but struggle to sleep? You try to relax but it never works and you end up snapping at family/friends? No motivation which leads to procrastination. “What’s wrong with me?” you might ask yourself. "I don’t even feel like myself anymore". Dreading to go to work. Even hobbies or hanging out with friends doesn't bring much joy. Everything just seems so draining! You feel overwhelmed, not good enough, and irritable. Feeling lost and stuck because nothing you try seems to work. You want someone that "gets it" and can help you generate some practical solutions for your relationships, work, and life.

Are you struggling and feel like you have nobody you can turn to? There are many things that can make us feel isolated or afraid to seek help. Shame, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, feeling burdened by pressures and expectations. These can be overwhelming, confusing, and scary experiences. There is no easy way to unravel the complexities of the pain we feel or the pressures we face in our lives. But I want to be there to help you figure things out.

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?

Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?

Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?

One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
