I'm currently offering both online and in-person sessions.
My father struggled with alcoholism and I promised myself I would never follow his path. But I'd learned as a young teen and adult that substances offered an immediate escape from emotional pain and bad memories, and I did follow his path. In my early 30's I started counselling to find a way to heal from past abuse and trauma, learn healthier ways of managing my emotions, build self-esteem and enter into truly loving relationships. In recent years I expanded to work with couples. It is my pleasure today to walk with individuals and couples as they begin their own healing journeys toward happiness and fulfillment.

In-person sessions are offered near the U of A Hospital.
I believe we all have internal strengths and resources to work through life's challenges. Sometimes we lose sight of these strengths, sometimes there are gaps in our skills set, or perhaps there are blind spots in how we view a problem situation. My role is to help clients explore, discover and understand themselves and to help clients learn new skills and strategies to address the presenting concern.

In person and virtual sessions for Alberta; Virtual only for Yukon, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan
Humans are social animals; our brains are built for connection. We crave safe relationships to support us to feel, heal, deal, and grow. We all want to be the best version of ourselves, we just may not know what our best self looks like, or, may lack the support and experience required to discover such. When we are supported to identify and address the unmet needs that may block us from feeling like 'our best', we gain a greater sense of self. By understanding the impact of our relationships, attachments, and environments, we are able to truly make sense of the choices we make, and actions we may - or may not - take.

I approach therapy with depth, intention, and genuine curiosity for the person sitting across from me. My work is eclectic and highly individualized, drawing from a broad range of evidence based approaches that I carefully tailor to meet each client where they are, not where a manual says they should be. I support individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, PTSD, depression, low self esteem, postpartum depression (PPD), stress, relationship challenges, and complex family dynamics!

Basically, looking at concerning behaviours through the lens of "Is this behaviour currently solving another problem? Or what problem has is solved before?" The people I work with are experts in their own lives, yet they sometimes feel misaligned. You may be noticing that a version of yourself that once worked no longer fits, or you’re navigating questions around relationships, intimacy, identity, or boundaries. My work is grounded in a narrative approach, helping clients make sense of patterns, past experiences, and turning points. Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, and flexible. It's a space to slow down, connect the dots, and explore what feels most meaningful for you right now in the story of you.
