How do you climb a mountain? One step at a time. It’s the same process I use for rock climbing as I do with therapy, blending physical, mental, and emotional resilience. Climbing teaches patience, the power of small, intentional moves, and problem-solving—when one path doesn’t work, we regroup and try again. My holistic, integrative approach emphasizes understanding the unique ways a person processes and expresses their emotions, beliefs, and behaviors. Our emotions, thoughts and body language can dictate how we think, feel and act. Small changes to any one of these areas can lead to a positive ripple that we want to see in life.

My ideal client doesn't exist because everyone deserves competent, compassionate, culturally appropriate, accessible mental health care. I want to spend our time together helping you creating the space to share your story in your voice. We can talk about death, love, depression, anxiety, suicide, and gender. Or anything else that’s causing you to feel stuck. I particularly love working with 2slgbtqia+ adults, couples, and others who face marginalization in their day to day lives. I value collaboration, commitment, humour, joy and love.

You may be someone that others rely on - capable, thoughtful and holding a lot together - yet internally something feels off. Life transitions, relationship issues, or an identity shift have disrupted your sense of direction. The roles you’ve carried no longer fit. You’re questioning your choices, your patterns & maybe even who you’ve become. On the outside, things may still look fine, but inside you feel disconnected from yourself or the life you're living. You don't want surface-level coping. You want clarity, meaning, and relationships (whether individually or as a couple) that feel honest and alive!

I am a dedicated mental health professional and seasoned social worker with several years of experience working and volunteering in mental health and social service positions. I strive to meet clients where they are at, with a strong commitment to working from an intersectional lens that considers all aspects of my clients’ lives. My passion lies in working with children, youth, and their families to foster collaborative therapeutic relationships that create a strong foundation for growth and transformation. I know that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all, especially for children and youth.

What brings people to my practice is often the desire for something more intentional and connected. I prioritize timely care for my clients - with reasonable times/dates for sessions and sliding scale fees where needed. It's a big step to reach out for support. I know that sometimes it’s not one big thing. It’s the slow build of stress, distance, or feeling unlike yourself. Therapy offers a space to pause, make sense of what’s going on, and start feeling grounded again. If something feels off in your relationship or in your life, we can work through it together at your pace.

I am a queer practitioner with a commitment to supporting individuals as they navigate and re-shape the stories that influence their lives. I don't have an "ideal client" - I believe that every person who enters the counselling room has the ability to create meaningful change. You are the expert on your own experience, and my role is to join you in exploring the stories that have shaped your path and uncover ones you want to reshape. My practice is guided through a feminist, queer, anti-oppressive, and social justice lens.

Sometimes life experiences - especially painful or overwhelming ones - can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself and the life you want to be living. You might notice anxiety, doubting your worth, difficulty trusting others, or other patterns repeating even though you want something different. At times it can be hard to see a clear path forward. With curiosity and compassion, we can gently explore what you've been carrying, while paying attention to the wisdom of your body and nervous system, helping you to feel more grounded, connected to who you are, and able to move through life with greater authenticity, choice, and ease.

“I used to think that the brain was the most wonderful organ in my body. Then I realized who was telling me this.” (Emo Philips) Often our brains are wonderful! Also, wonderful brains do not stop us from having concerns or problems. Sometimes we are in the position of knowing some things, and also feeling and behaving in different ways - perhaps ways that are negative, not helpful, or destructive. The people I work with have a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, addictions, relationship issues, challenges with “getting going”, specific problem behaviours, as well as other issues.

Do you feel like you're constantly on edge, emotionally drained, or just not yourself—and you're not even sure why? Maybe you're stuck in the same relationship patterns, finding it hard to trust others or make decisions that feel right. You might be floating through life without a clear sense of purpose, putting others first while silently feeling resentful or unseen. Even in moments of rest, it’s hard to relax. You’re easily triggered, quick to frustration, or overwhelmed by small tasks. It’s exhausting to keep it all together—and you may be wondering if things will ever feel different.
