My other favorite clients are people with ADHD (individuals and couples) and targets of workplace bullying, and couples who have lost the "zing" in their relationship.
My main goal is to provide a warm, accepting and nurturing environment in which my clients can explore their vulnerable places and grow from them. Often our life circumstances, or even those of our parents and grand-parents, have led us to mistaken beliefs about ourselves, our worth, and our place in life. When we examine these beliefs in a realistic and compassionate manner, we find ways to change that we never believe possible for us. I have witnessed many such changes over the years, and I believe that a full and happy life is possible for all of us.

Since neurotherapy restores your brainwave patterns to a more optimal range of functioning it can help with a wide range of issues including ADHD / ADD (in children and adults), PTSD, complex trauma, epilepsy and seizure disorders, concussion, traumatic brain injury, depression/anxiety, sleep, migraines, headaches, Tourette’s Syndrome as well as stress.
I believe it is my privilege to accompany you on your journey towards improved health and happiness. Whether we are doing neurofeedback training, EMDR or tradition “talk therapy”, my primary goal is to create a safe space for growth and healing. Neurofeedback, or neurotherapy, is a state-of-the-art, research-proven, and drugless method for teaching the brain to function in a more balanced and healthful way. Although the technology is quite sophisticated, the process is simple, painless, and non-invasive. It is just learning! Neurofeedback can also be used for peak performance as well as learning meditation. It works!

I work with individuals with a wide-range of concerns and backgrounds but my main areas of focus are working with anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD and addiction issues. In my therapeutic approach, I aim to understand you and your world. Although people may share the same common symptoms, issues, and life’s ups and downs, no two people experience them exactly the same. It is important for me to understand how you experience your world, so I can help you find solutions that fit for you. Together we will work collaboratively to figure out what is working for you and how to change the things that are not.

ADHD Counsellors
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for an Edmonton ADHD counsellor, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counselling in Edmonton.
