It's understandable to feel overwhelmed by the state of the world, or find yourself struggling to make sense of your experiences as we navigate the complexities of this time. Perhaps you feel exhausted and experiences things like chronic pain, digestive illness, ongoing fatigue or poor sleep. Maybe you find it difficult to to cope with a lingering sense of dread, feelings of anxiety, or the sharp pain of grief and loss. I know these experiences can make it difficult to stay connected to our values, and to find meaning amidst the constant demands on our attention and time.

Hello fellow traveller. Welcome to my Psychology Today page. It can feel like things never change. Wherever you go there you still are. Resolution of a problem can take place when we learn even one new idea. I help my clients learn what is getting them stuck and the steps to get them moving again. EMDR can be used to facilitate this process. My style is collaborative, compassionate and direct when required. I enjoy being a part of the solution for which clients have been searching often for a long time.

It can be difficult to acknowledge our pain, struggles, and/or imperfections. In my practice, I work to create a relationship that feels welcoming and non-judgemental. My approach is fundamentally compassionate - I don't believe it's my role to label anything dysfunctional and I don't make DSM diagnoses. You’re the expert on what isn’t working in your life. I've found that every reaction or behaviour is a response to something. If we can stay curious long enough, we can figure out that reason and, from there, come up with alternative solutions or ways to heal from the past.

You may come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by undefined challenges, unsure where to start or how to even name what you’re going through. Maybe you feel lost in the array of therapeutic terms, wondering if labels like “childhood trauma” or “codependency” really apply to you. You’re likely seeking clarity on what you’re facing, practical steps to move forward, and a therapist who understands your unique path.

Are you feeling stuck- and maybe not even sure why? Tired of that nagging, critical inner voice? Noticed patterns on repeat- in thoughts, behaviours, and in relationship with others? Do you experience symptoms of anxiety, stress, grief, or a lack of feeling “enoughness?” Are you struggling to make things work with family, friends, peers, or partners? You might be new to self-discovery or introspection. Or you may have read, researched, and made self-help your main pastime. Either way, there is a part of you that believes you are ready to try healing in connection with another in a safe, caring and meaningful way.

Accepting new clients! I have always been drawn to human beings; their stories and struggles. I am intrigued by life narratives and always had the desire to help in any capacity. Becoming a mother at the young age of 16 opened my eyes to the struggles that exist and the necessity of support in our lives. You don't need to travel these back roads alone! If I could choose my best life, it would be outside. I love the water, trees, mountains and feel most comfortable in nature. My success is based on my empathic, genuine self. I strive to bring that to each interaction. Compatibility is key!
