I utilize an eclectic approach with the following modalities: EMDR, IFS, attachment theory, ACT, solution-focused, DBT, mindfulness, somatic therapy and clinical hypnosis.
Sometimes negative life events disconnect us from ourselves, and create difficulties in our relationships with others. I am passionate about helping you build that connection back with yourself, with the people you love and live purposeful, meaningful lives. Whether you are experiencing stress or are struck in unhealthy behaviors and patterns, I can help you on your healing journey to be your authentic, whole self – the you that is curious, connected and confident.

For treatment, I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Hakomi ( somatic therapy), and Embodied Awareness (spiritually-directed therapy).
You can't remember the last time you were able to relax. Your mind is constantly racing with judgmental and negative thoughts about yourself and your life. All you want is to feel happy, but you don't feel good enough. People who should have been safe have hurt you and let you down, leaving you scared to open up and trust. You find yourself crying at the drop of a hat for no explainable reason, which leads you to feel more isolated and alone - disconnected from everyone. You're unsure if therapy can help, but are willing to try.

The Centre for Psychodynamic Insights is a virtual clinic specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy. This approach explores the root causes of symptoms by uncovering and understanding underlying emotions through evidence-based treatment. Through collaborative dialogue, we examine unconscious thoughts and emotions shaped from childhood to the present. We work to relieve symptoms by understanding how these patterns affect current experiences, and create targeted strategies for meaningful change long-term.

When supporting adults, I integrate aspects of CBT, DBT, somatic experiencing, and grief- specific theory, while ensuring a trauma- informed and client- centred environment.
Starting therapy can bring up a variety of feelings- this is what makes us human! Creating a safe environment that prioritizes your comfort is the first and most important aspect in my practice. My work surrounds children, adolescents and adults. Areas of support for children and youth include grief and loss, trauma, adolescence transitions, mental health challenges, and attachment-related concerns. I support adults experiencing terminal diagnoses, death & dying, grief, and women navigating trauma, relationship difficulties, and identity.

I offer a combination of Art Therapy and Counselling with a Mindful and Somatic approach to healing that has been proven to have lasting results.
Has anxiety and depression become amplified for you with issues from the past resurfacing? Maybe you have been to counselling before but would like to try a more holistic approach; one that will teach you the tools needed to overcome feelings of sadness, dread and uncertainty? Often times, experiences buried from childhood and the past resurface as adults which can greatly affect the way we feel and our sense of purpose in the world. It isn’t until things get so uncomfortable, that we feel the only option available is to make a change. This isn’t always easy but reaching out for support, is the first and most important step.

I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, and somatic modalities (Hakomi) to help clients acknowledge and understand themselves and their needs.
My work with individuals helps people foster a sense of safety in their body and trust in their ability to regulate emotions, effectively manage conflict and express their needs. In relational work, these skills are the building blocks to an attuned relationship. I help couples get to the root of their issues so they can find their way back to the same team.

I recently came across a quote by Rumi that deeply resonates with my perspective on therapy: “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” I believe that within each person there is an innate capacity for healing and resilience, even when it feels distant or out of reach. Pain can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or confused, and therapy can be a place to begin. My role is to walk alongside you, offering a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you can gently explore your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and move toward meaningful change and integration—at your own pace and with curiosity.

My physiology background allows for a somatic approach to help identity and shift both the emotional and the physical experience.
I work with thoughtful, capable adults navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship strain, and life transitions. Together, we look beneath surface symptoms to understand the patterns, attachment dynamics, and unconscious beliefs shaping your experience. My approach is psychodynamic and relational, grounded in nervous system awareness. I offer a steady, compassionate space. For those who value it, I also welcome the integration of meaning, intuition, and the spiritual dimension of healing in a grounded way. If you’re read to understand yourself more deeply and move forward with intention, we can begin.

Do you have a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of ADHD or Autism? Perhaps you also struggle with mysterious symptoms, like gastrointestinal disturbances, weird allergies, chronic pain, headaches or dizzy spells. Do you feel like all these things may be connected, but don't know how to advocate for your symptoms and struggles to your medical providers in a broken medical system? Setting boundaries and asking for accommodations from family and friends is scary, and you are not alone in feeling like a burden. But needing support is the bravest and most empowering thing you can do.

I have additional trainings in Somatic Experiencing, Internal family systems, narrative therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy to support your healing
I’m honoured you’re here. You might be carrying the weight of trauma, abuse, stress, anxiety or painful life events that have left you feeling isolated, empty, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Your emotions may feel hard to manage, or relationships leave you feeling drained. Together, we'll create a space that feels safe and gently explore what feels supportive for you. That may mean slowing down, making sense of your experiences, healing through your traumas, stabilizing your body, creating meaningful changes, or building practical tools so you feel seen, understood, grounded, and aligned with the life that feels true to you.

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
