A Balanced Life's Groups
Various groups for children to reduce anxiety.
The Ripple Effect Program is specifically designed to give children and youth the skills and knowledge they need to better manage fear and worry before they turn into a more serious concern. This will also help them be better prepared to cope with future challenges as they arise. Through our 12 week educational group program, participants learn specific, individualized techniques to take control of their own thoughts, feelings, and bodily responses to stress, and develop personal tool kits to help transfer this learning to their daily lives.
Parent Information Nights
Periodic sessions held throughout the year. Includes two group educational workshops for the parents/guardians and one individual session for the family. This will be a useful first step for those families who wish to learn more about anxiety, and how best to support their anxious child. The individual session is intended to help create a plan for strategies and any future supports or programs that may be needed.
Parent Support Group
10-week parent/guardian group program focusing on assisting parents/guardians of a child dealing with anxiety. The program offers information and strategies to help parents/guardians in supporting their child. Participants learn from each others' successes and challenges. The program is appropriate for any parent/guardian wishing to learn more about anxiety in children and youth, and will be useful as a follow-up, or as an alternative, to our Anxiety Education Program for Children and Youth.
