Stress Reduction Seminar, March 21st, 2-4pm

This introductory training will provide the building blocks for understanding your stress response and implementing skills for stress-reduction. Topics covered include: Understanding the Central Nervous System (CNS) and the triple F response (Fight, Flight Freeze); tools to decipher and track your own stress response; and bottom-up (body-based) techniques for grounding the CNS system and engaging the parasympathetic (rest & digest) system response. This training is for anyone interested in learning how to navigate their physiological stress response with heightened awareness, and to respond mindfully in difficult moments. Online Group Therapy for Stress and Anxiety
31 March, 2022 - 5 May, 2022. This group therapy is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, a mindfulness-based cognitive-behaviour type of therapy that has been scientifically shown to be effective to treat anxiety. This group will focus on learning ACT skills to manage anxiety and stress. ACT is an active treatment that will help you be less affected by difficult thoughts and feelings, clarify what brings meaning and purpose to your life, and commit to taking steps to move in that direction on an ongoing basis.
