If you experience public-speaking anxiety and want to build confidence, this might be a group for you! Dr. Amanda Tobe, organizational psychologist has developed a 10 week online group that is designed to help you fear less and speak more. Her new program combines psychoeducation, science-based strategies, in-class activities and group-based learning to help individuals develop their own personalized toolkits. This program is dynamic - while it is lecture-based, you will have plenty of opportunities for questions, participation and sharing. I have a daytime group and an evening group. Ontario residents only.

This group is appropriate for individuals struggling with extreme emotional sensitivity. Individuals with emotional regulation difficulties go through cycles that begin with triggering events which then produce negative thoughts and emotions. These thoughts and emotions often prompt destructive behaviours which lead to more negative emotions such as shame or guilt. Using DBT Skills, learn how to manage negative and overwhelming emotions, while increasing positive experiences. The goals of this group will be to better understand your emotions, to reduce emotional vulnerability and to decrease emotional suffering.
