Mindful Self Compassion Group ( offered online)
Mindful Self Compassion is an 8-week skill development group that teaches you how to manage difficulty with more ease and kindness. MSC combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance our emotional well-being. While mindfulness increases our awareness of the present, self-compassion encourages greater kindness and understanding of periods of suffering. It also helps us to accept our flaws and better understands our challenges. MSC is an adventure in self-discovery and self-kindness. Self-compassion has the effect of both soothing our emotional distress as well as opening us to the pain that we may have been holding inside.

MBCT is an 8 week evidence-based group therapy for preventing depressive relapse. Mindfulness is a non-judgemental way of paying attention to the present moment. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is designed to bring awareness to the habitual negative thinking that leads to depressive and anxious spirals. Combined, MBCT interrupts how we habitually react to situations, so we can choose to respond in more skillful ways. Participants will learn a variety of practices to manage depression,anxiety and prevent relapse. By learning to identify the triggers and symptoms of anxiety and depression, participants can effectively address these issues as they arise in everday life.
