About

Angela has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Brock University and a Postgraduate degree in Brain-Disorder Management at Mohawk College. She is currently completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, in order to register for the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Angela speaks Spanish and English fluently, being born in Colombia and raised in the USA, her experience has been geared towards working with children, youth, individuals and families.
My type of therapy style is to work one on one with the client in a collaborative manner, where the client is the expert in the room and I am here to guide them through their own journey or obstacles in life. Together we will develop a treatment plan that works best for the client, by determining goals and ways to achieve them.
As a Clinical Intern, I am very excited to be able to offer all of my knowledge and life experiences to my clients, during their most vulnerable times. My educational background focuses a lot on Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am a very interactive and detailed individual, that is ready to listen and help guide clients through therapy.
