Mark Batey, Creativity and Innovation specialist at Manchester Buisness School and Academic Lead of the Manchester Leadership Programme at the Universty of Manchester, is a researcher of the psychology of creativity. He is a regular contributor to the media - BBC, Financial Times, The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Moscow Times, Forbes, Gulf News, South China Post and Wall Street Journal.

Batey is an editor for the International Journal of Creativity and Problem Solving and sits on the Editorial Board for the American Journal of Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and Arts (PACA). Mark has delivered keynote speeches and master classes for organisations such as TEDx, Arab Administrative Development Organization, Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Association for Coaching and Forbes. He often acts as a Master of Ceremonies for corporate conferences and leadership meetings.

In his private work he has coached leaders and top teams, helped organisations develop a culture of creativity and innovation, and facilitated teams to deliver new products, services and processes. He has worked with organisations that include Al-Futtaim, Bank of America, Bao Steel, BBC, BP, Channel 4, Group 4 Securicor, JC Decaux, Johnson & Johnson, NHS, Reading Football Club, Rolls-Royce, Sony Music Entertainment, Suez, Tesco, Thales, Zurich and Zain.

He works with local charities to support schools in disadvantaged communities, is a father of 3 girls, has a long-suffering wife, loves cooking, debating and singing.
