Why are so many people drawn to conspiracy theories in times of crisis?

Dr. Shedler has a gift of clarity which I really appreciate! What he describes is consistent with the way I practice. In addition I also integrate CBT and DBT techniques into a psychodynamic treatment as needed - they need not be exclusive. In my experience most insurance does cover long term care i.e. weekly therapy sessions for as long as the therapist can provide evidence that it is working & still needed for the particular patient. The mental health parity laws have helped - however another big step that is needed is to include mental health coverage whenever someone has medical coverage rather than keeping them separate as some people elect to not take this level of coverage in order to save money which then can present problems when they need therapy. Thank you Dr. Shedler for your much needed work to explain psychodynamic therapy to the public and advocate for its effectiveness.
