I have an anxiety disorder and I'm weaning off my medication.
How I'm dealing with this is when I'm feeling anxious about going out, I reward myself. If I'm shopping at the grocery store I look forward to getting chocolate and other favorite foods. That way, I have a different focus instead of one of dread.
When I quit smoking 30 years ago I found a positive addiction to take it's place. I started swimming and eating heathlier.
I got very annoying to my family, though.
