I was a witness to the emotional abuse of my dad by my mother. She held him hostage to the fact that she knew he would never hit her. She was a manipulater of him and us. I'm thankful that he didn't divorce her because we would have been forced to live with her alone. He made a sacrifice for me and my sisters.
When he was dying of cancer, my mother would physically abuse him. If I had known about this I would have called the authorities on her. I was shocked my sisters did nothing.
