I totally agree with some parts of this article, I myself tries to suppress my feelings/anger in really hard emotional situations, due to which my anger get bottled up and finally gets released after a span of like 3-4 months, but for me this is a much more easier process i guess because i even reappraise my feelings during less emotional situations which do not lead to the escape of the negative thought, instead that one negative thought which i reappraised at that moment lead me to allot of overthinking which really disturbs. So i believe both suppression and reappraisal strategies have their pros and cons from person to person and situation to situation.
