Why are so many people drawn to conspiracy theories in times of crisis?

I'm a competitive bodybuilder. As such, I have sufficiently more muscle mass than most men. I wasn't always like this, so I can understand the difference between a normal guy and someone with high T. With high T, you are more confident in your ability to meet and have sex with various women. One may say, your "game" is on. However, you also become more aware of how other guys may steal your woman away from you. So yes, you become more suspicious of what your mate is up to. It sucks. I'm in a wonderful relationship with a bi-sexual lady. Not only do I allow her to have gfs, but I encourage it. I don't find her relationships with other women in anyway risky to our relationship. But if a guy so much as smiles at her, I'm not only worried, but angry. The research above makes perfect sense to me.
