Why are so many people drawn to conspiracy theories in times of crisis?

I'm really sick of people telling us to respond to mass slaughter with love. That is not going to solve this problem. We need to respond with anger. Anger is a justifiable emotion in this situation. Anger at male violence, anger at the masculinist ideologies and religions that drive these men. I'm not going to sit here and sing koombaya over the poor mass murderer who felt bad about his small penis and his sexuality. I'm so sick of these nonsensical, pointless 'love over hate' platitudes. How exactly does that prevent these crimes or solve the scourge of male violence? These men and the ideologies they support need to be held accountable, not molly coddled.
