The Fear of Intimacy
Intimacy can be scary for some of us. In a new relationship, a partner may feel frightful of getting closer; in a longtime union, a partner may feel he doesn’t know the person in bed with him. When questions of intimacy arise, some may catch themselves censoring their thoughts, feeling resentful and misunderstood, or operating on mind-numbing autopilot.
