II. Interviews of Teens:

• “Adventurous! Full of fun! Sounds like me!” I said. My friends at lunch had already been asking everyone, “What number are you? “I’m a One Perfectionist!” “You’re a One, I’m a 5-Observer!”

Drawing above: What a 7 likes about being an Adventurer.

I had no clue what they were talking about until I got into Language Arts Class and we talked about the Enneagram. I learned the Seven meant happy, full of fun, doesn’t want to see problems with the world. The worst thing for a Seven is being bored. Sevens like to have tons of friends, but most of all to be the center of attention—at least me!!

Seven fits me because just the other day my friends and I were wrestling and my friend slammed me on my back and cracked some of my ribs. And because I was so happy and hyper one day I went on my neighbor’s rope swing and fell about 40 feet into sticker bushes. – Malik

• I am a 7-Adventurer because I’m always doing something. I absolutely hate being bored! If I’m bored that means I’m probably broke. I’m always hyper. I sometimes get on people’s nerves. I like being the center of attention and am always trying to make new and more friends—also, I get bored with people easily. Like if they’re talking about something I don’t care about or don’t want to talk about, I go talk to somebody else.

I like trying lots of new things, like new carnival rides. I’ve always wanted to go bungee jumping and other exciting things. I also like to be talking most of the time. I have to be on the phone as soon as I get home from school. I get in trouble, like at school, at public places and lots of other places, because I’m always talking and I’m loud when I talk. I’m not like some people who just talk, talk, talk about nothing. I always have something to talk about like movies, TV shows, music, and lots of other stuff people like talking about. - Jade
