Newtown Christmas Tree Memorial

My heart goes out to the families of the children and educators who were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School, those who witnessed this massacre and to the community of Newtown as well.

Following the tragic massacre of 20 young children and 7 educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown it has been said that the killer, Adam Lanza, was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.

Connecticut's chief medical examiner, Dr. H. Wayne Carver has stated that Asperger's Syndrome is not associated with violent behavior, and that it is not considering it as a reason for Lanza's rampage on Friday.

Many autism organizaitons have published information on their websites since the massacre in order to better educate the public. Not everyone is knowledgeable about  autism and Asperger's Syndrome. It is important to have access to accurate information to dispel ignorance. Below are some links to better educate the public. Some links contain informaiton helpful for schools as well.
