My new book 1,001 Tips for the Parents of Autistic Girls recently went to press. Does anyone want to see some teaser tips? My other book, Cutting Edge Therapies for Autism came out in the Spring of this year. Both these books show how much work is being done to understand the underlying causes and potentially helpful treatments for autism.

Autism is a real puzzle and my thoughts on the subject are in constant flux. We're publishing a book about the correlation between the rise in peanut allergies and egg allergies and the use of peanut oil and egg whites in vaccines. Reading it makes me think that allergies, autism, eczema, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's might be connected. They might be similar types of autoimmune responses to particular allergens that affect people of different ages, autism striking during childhood, schizophrenia hitting people mainly in their 20s or 30s and Alzheimer's setting in later in life...
