She provides individual counselling (Schema Therapy and EMDR Therapy) and relationship counselling (EFCT), as well as clinical supervision for young counsellors.
Yilam finds her passion in trauma-healing. She works towards removing mental and emotional blocks, reconnecting to parts of self, and creating a nurturing and grounding environment, for the body and the mind to restore their self-healing power.

Apart from utilizing empirically proven psychological interventions such as trauma-focused EMDR therapy, schema therapy, EFT, mindfulness, etc., I also adopt body work such as yoga, breath work, voice, tapping and movement. My focus is to explore with clients together and identify origin of experience, underlying needs and primary emotions.
Yilam provides a gentle, understanding and non-judgmental space. She is sensitive to themes and patterns, and understands the significance of clients’ past experience. With years of front-line service as well as teaching, Yilam brings a wide range of experience and perspective to her work.
