Dr Xavier is the Medicare & WorkCover & TAC Clinical Psychologist. Board-approved Supervisor. He is friendly and easy to talk to! He uses a psychodynamic and strengths based approach in his sessions. The newly developed Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT) is the marriage between the GP care and psychology practice for the best interest of our client populations.
He works with issues including low or unstable moods; feelings of low self-worth, helplessness; sadness; lack of motivation; mental injury, or grief and loss. I am also experienced in managing social anxiety; generalized anxiety; health anxiety; perfectionistic thinking; chronic depression and panic attacks.
A specialist practice in the areas of identity and developmental struggles, issues commonly faced by ethnic and sexual or gender minority populations such as cultural integration, psycho-social trauma, and identity development, as well as their impact on mental health.
