I am a senior clinical psychologist, supervisor and accredited psychoanalytic psychotherapist with 40 years of experience. I provide psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults to assist with the difficulties of being human. This may range from unease or lack of vitality, to anguish, fear and protracted suffering. My therapy is best suited to people who are wanting to explore their psychodynamics and are motivated to make changes to improve their quality of life, work and relationships. I have a special supervision interest in assisting Early Career Clinicians with clinical skills and depth insight into the therapeutic relationship.
Special therapeutic focus: Insight psychotherapy to psychologists, psychiatrists, GPs, psychotherapists, counsellors, and other professionals, for stress, distress, anxiety, burnout, imposter syndrome, perfectionism, depression, low self-worth, and understanding intrapsychic and interpersonal dynamics.
Supervision and Teaching Services: Clinical supervision to psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, counsellors and APPWA trainees. Examples of teaching workshop topics include psychodynamic interventions, object relations formulation, defence mechanisms, and understanding countertransference - whatever the therapy modality.
