I am a Clinical Psychologist with lived experience, offering comprehensive, affirming assessments for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism in adults (Aus wide - Online) I have a particular interest in working with individuals who may have been overlooked or misidentified earlier in life, including those who present with more internalised or high-masking profiles. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and self-aware, yet have experienced longstanding challenges with attention, emotional regulation, sensory sensitivity, or feeling “different” in ways that have not previously been understood.

Waitlist for new clients
Working together, I assist my clients to build useful coping skills and use evidence-based strategies ( CBT, ACT, schema) in our sessions that are translatable to 'real life' changes outside the confines of therapy.
Aster is now able to offer a limited number of openings for new clients. Are you a young woman having difficulty with navigating big life transitions such as a career move, parenthood, study/schooling, a recent diagnosis, or a relationship breakdown? Perhaps you have identified anxiety, burnout, or ADHD symptoms as impacting your well-being and you need some perspective, compassion, and an original approach. I have a particularly keen interest in engaging with women 18+ to help them better manage the unique issues they face in an ever-changing world and assist them in living a life in line with their identified goals and values.

She is also co-founder of BrainyCo, a neuroaffirming, CBT-Informed initiative that gives kids a visual way to explain what their brain is doing.
Kylie is particularly known for her down-to-earth, non-judgmental style. She works with adults whose confidence and sense of self have been shaken by a life change or by discovering their mind works differently. She helps them feel solid again. Life change may include illness, burnout, relationship strain, career transition, relocation, or adjusting to a diagnosis. Some people seek support when anxiety or low mood begins affecting their functioning. Others are exploring neurodivergence, such as ADHD or autism, as part of understanding long-standing patterns. Kylie tends to think differently and can offer unique perspectives.

Online sessions reduce cognitive and social load, support sensory needs and allow you to join with your comfort items from your safe space.
I support neurodivergent mums who are overwhelmed, burnt out, and carrying too much for too long, often while raising neurodivergent children or making sense of their own diagnosis. Many arrive feeling stuck in survival mode, questioning themselves, and unsure who they are or what they need. At Mumshine, I help you gently untangle what is going on, understand your needs, and reduce the load in a way that feels realistic and supportive, without pressure to have it all figured out.

I am passionate about working with neurodiverse people in particular to help improve day-to-day function, meet goals, and improve overall wellbeing. I can provide assessment for neurodiversity for those who are unsure or wanting to find out more.

I use positive, strength-based approach combined with cognitive, emotional, and solution-focused techniques to engage effectively with individuals.
When life feels stuck, many try to push through alone — until emotions like fear, anger, guilt, unworthiness or confusion become too heavy. I offer a safe, private space to talk, ask important questions, and explore options at your own pace. While I’m passionate about helping couples and families, I often begin by supporting individuals on their journey toward clarity through contemplation, dialogue, explore options before strengthening to a healthier self/relationship. Growth begins with one step — and I’m here to walk alongside you.

While it's natural to engage in pleasurable activities & behaviours, when that engagement becomes compulsive, overwhelming, and out-of-control, the negative consequences can become destructive & unmanageable, especially when addicted to Sex & Porn. We sometimes adopt these behaviours as a means of gaining momentary relief from any pain, anxiety, or trauma that exists in our lives, but regularly feel intense shame and despair after acting out sexually. Then, shame & isolation serve to maintain the addictive cycle, as the problem becomes more complex & often impacts our intimate partner. Don't despair: Help and recovery is available!

Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Therapists
How does cognitive behavioural therapy work?
Cognitive behavioural therapy works by exploring how your thoughts affect your emotions and experiences. CBT helps you identify distortions in your thinking. For example, you may tend to jump to the worst case scenario catastrophising or think in extremes (all-or-nothing thinking). A therapist can teach you how to push back against those thoughts to ultimately change your feelings and behavior for the better. They can also provide coping skills to better deal with stressors and challenges.

When do I know to seek treatment with cognitive behavioural therapy?
It’s reasonable to consider cognitive behavioural therapy if you struggle to manage difficult emotions or behaviors to such an extent that you are not getting the most out of life on a day-to-day basis. If you want a shorter term, concrete, skills-based approach, CBT is a great option. (By contrast, other types of therapy may devote more time to exploring your past and its effects.) The decision to seek CBT also depends on the condition you’re treating; CBT is an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, and many other disorders.

How can I find a cognitive behavioural therapist for someone else?
To find a cognitive behavioural therapist for someone else, you may want to begin by discussing the person’s problem, researching cognitive behavioural therapy, and assessing whether the approach is the right fit. You could then reach out to a few cognitive behavioral therapists in this directory, explain the scenario, have a consultation with those available, and determine who could be a good match.

Why is CBT such a popular form of therapy?
CBT has become a popular form of therapy because it is effective and accessible. Robust research has demonstrated that CBT is an effective treatment for many mental health conditions. And CBT can be learned in relatively few sessions, which means that many people can engage in the process, afford it, and see results quickly. It involves learning concrete skills such as disputing unhelpful thoughts; these skills can also be taught and spread widely.
