I work with a wide range of emotional difficulties including depression and low mood, anxiety, life changes, stress managment, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and chronic pain.
At times we all feel anxious, stuck, lost, alone or empty. Sometimes it is fleeting, sometimes it stays for a while and sometimes it seems it is never going to leave. No two people are the same and I am committed to a collaborative approach towards understanding you and find a pathway to best resolve your emotional difficulties. I draw on a range of psychological treatment approaches including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Densensitisation and Reprocessing, and Internal Family Systems. I recently have completed training in Deep Brain Reorienting to process lingering shock from trauma.

I find that my training in these areas work well together as they often come up in relationship therapy.
Most of my expertise lies in relationship counselling, particularly infidelity, communication and dealing with recurrent arguments. I also do much work in men's issues, particularly porn addiction and sex therapy. I use EMDR for trauma.

I help to improve the relationship you have with yourself and identify where your difficulties may be stemming from so you can forgive and move forward.
I love helping people to feel more empowered; to set boundaries, express their needs and build self-love. I am open-minded and flexible in my approach and offer a safe place to share and express without judgement :) I encourage the practice of self-awareness and radical self-responsibility and I love to help people see things in a new way so they can move forward with kindness. Sometimes all it takes is a chat with someone new to give you clarity or a new perspective on things. I also offer insights into physical ailments and conditions and how they may be related to your experiences and emotional struggles... the body is very wise!

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While the need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
