I feel especially drawn to working with deep thinkers, sensitive souls, and the so-called “black sheep”—those who often feel like outsiders, yet carry profound insight and depth. I aim to create a therapeutic space that’s collaborative, curious, and grounded in presence, where all parts of you are welcome and nothing needs to be performed. I focus on areas such as chronic stress, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationships, and personal and spiritual growth. I have a particular interest in men’s wellbeing and creating safe, supportive spaces for men to explore their emotional health, as well as women, teens, and couples.

Starting therapy can be really daunting for so many reasons. One reason in particular I see a lot is that individuals worry that the issues they are experiencing are not “big enough” or “therapy worthy”. I wanted to provide some specific examples of common issues I work with to hopefully ease this worry and assure you that your experiences are absolutely worthy of support: Having conflicting or negative feelings about being pregnant/post-partum, difficulty falling/staying asleep, distressing and/or recurrent memories of traumatic events, intimacy difficulties, and feeling like you constantly put others needs before your own.

Are you feeling emotionally exhausted or stuck in old patterns despite your best efforts? For many adults life transitions, accumulated stress, and unresolved trauma can quietly build up, leaving you feeling anxious, low and disconnected from yourself.
I work with adults navigating long standing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, low self-worth, childhood trauma, emotional neglect and burnout. If you're feeling overwhelmed, irritable, numb, or constantly “on,” these are often signs of a nervous system stuck in survival mode.

I specialise in working with women and LGBTQI+ folk who are wanting support with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and body image concerns. Many of my clients experience stigma and micro-aggressions on a daily basis. Some of the main reasons people choose to see me are because they struggle with feeling 'not good enough', or they have difficulty coping with overwhelming emotions, or they are struggling in a world that doesn't seem to accept them. Some of my clients feel disconnected from themselves and are wanting support to work out who they are. Most of my clients would like to feel safer.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
