I take a holistic approach to your mental health by combining evidence-based practises, with fluff-free psychology advice, wrapped in genuine compassion and care —to help you break out of the perfectionism trap, quiet the relentless anxiety, and finally move forward. I don’t just sit and nod; we look at the mechanics of your mind, call out the narratives keeping you stuck, and build a concrete psychological toolkit to change how you show up everyday.

My therapeutic philosophy maintains that within each and every one of us there lies an unlimited amount of potential, that we as human beings have an innate drive to work towards becoming the best possible version of ourselves and reaching our optimal “way of being”. Thus my passion is in helping guide and facilitate the personal growth and self development of people from all walks of life and assisting in the process of connection with self, as when we are aligned and connected with our true selves we are operating from a place of authenticity and this empowers us to pursue a life which is meaningful, rewarding and fulfilling.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or impacted by past experiences, you don’t have to work it out on your own. Many people come to counselling not because they’re broken, but because their nervous system has been under strain for a long time. I work primarily with adults & children who have experienced trauma, from single events or prolonged, stressful life circumstances. My role is to provide a calm, respectful, safe space where you can slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin to feel more regulated and in control. I use evidence-based therapies tailored to each person’s needs.

I enjoy helping my clients put the puzzle pieces together in understanding how you have become you. I enjoy working with older adolescents (age 15+) and adults struggling to build and/ or maintain relationships potentially due to challenges in childhood. Additionally, I enjoy supporting people who have lived through traumatic experiences to make sense of the world after these experiences and reduce the load of carrying it around.

You might look like you’re functioning — working, achieving, showing up for others — but inside feel anxious, stuck, or unsure about your relationships or direction in life. I work with adults navigating anxiety, relationship patterns, and major life or career transitions, particularly when life hasn’t followed the expected path. I have a particular interest in working with people whose identities and experiences aren't always reflected in mainstream spaces, and those working in creative, performing arts, and freelance careers. My approach is warm, collaborative, and attachment-focused.

I help young professional women across Australia manage anxiety, burnout, and relationship challenges using practical, down-to-earth therapy that builds insight and real-life skills. Many of the women I work with are capable and driven, yet feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in unhelpful patterns. You might overthink decisions or relationships, feel constantly “on edge,” or struggle with boundaries. Together, we explore these patterns and develop practical tools to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more in control.

I strongly believe that every person has a purpose and set of skills/strengths they bring into this world; however, that sometimes inconvenient/negative circumstances or unhealthy relationships can derail this potential by planting a seed of self-doubt into our minds. Regardless of where it applies to an individual's life (e.g. marriage, career, etc.), it would be my privilege to help clients along the way to achieving their life goals/vision by helping them identify and deal with any stumbling blocks in their way. Life loves to throw curveballs (it wouldn't be interesting if it didn't), but I'd love to prepare my clients for them!

I am a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, and have experience working with clients across the lifespan. I work with adolescents, young adults and adults to help them in understanding themselves and others. Deciding to access counselling is often a big decision and it can take a while to find a psychologist that you feel safe, comfortable and at ease with, someone "who really gets you" so to speak. I am able to work with clients who are experiencing mild to acute mental health issues and have experience working in a more acute inpatient setting.

I work with adults who may appear to be coping externally but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. Many are navigating ADHD or neurodivergence, identity, queerness, cultural experiences, relationship patterns, burnout, or life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and neuro-affirming, integrating CBT, ACT, IFS parts work, attachment-based therapy, and practical ADHD coaching. Using collaborative intersectional frameworks while maintaining authenticity, empathy and curiosity, we make sense of patterns, reduce shame, and build realistic, sustainable ways of moving forward.

You’ve just heard the words “cancer” or “brain tumour,” and suddenly life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or surreal. Maybe you’re trying to stay strong for everyone else while falling apart inside. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, in treatment, recovering, or living with ongoing impacts, you don’t have to face it alone. I work along side people navigating these challenges, offering a space to feel seen, heard, and gently supported through whatever this chapter brings. You don’t have to do it alone. I’ll walk beside you with compassion, honesty, and care as you find your way through.

I am a Perth based therapist who provides psychodynamically informed counselling to individuals who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, and who wish to develop a deeper understanding of themselves rather than focusing solely on symptom management. Many clients seek therapy to explore recurring emotional or relational patterns, their origins, and how meaningful, lasting change can occur. I work with individuals navigating trauma, attachment difficulties, identity transitions, and ongoing stress, supporting greater emotional stability, relational clarity, and a stronger sense of self.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

Counsellors and Psychotherapists listed in the directory are members of the main professional associations, mainly the Australian Counselling Association and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. Psychologists must be registered in the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Most Social Workers listed in the directory are members of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Providers whose professional membership or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Given that professional memberships are not a statutory requirement for social workers, psychotherapists and counsellors in Australia, certain qualified professionals or organisations may choose not to maintain such memberships despite possessing the necessary qualifications. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?

Counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists can all provide counselling or talking therapy and have credentials and experience that enable them to do so in Australia.

Psychologists have earned a 4 year undergraduate degree in psychology and have completed a postgraduate internship or postgraduate degree. Psychotherapists generally have an undergraduate degree in a health related field in addition to 3-4 years of specialist training in psychotherapy and a period of personal psychotherapy. In order to belong to a professional organisation such as the ACA or PACFA, counsellors and psychotherapists are required to have completed a certain level of AQF qualifications and/ or an approved training course as well as clinical and supervision hours. Social Workers registered with the AASW are required to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, the cost of a therapy session in Australia could be between $100 and $250. If you have private insurance, your plan may cover some if not all of your sessions. You should contact your insurance provider to determine if they provide coverage for therapy sessions and to determine what, if any, requirements they might have in order for your sessions to be covered, such as a referral from your GP or medical specialist.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

If you are struggling to access therapy due to budget constraints, you could also consider public funded mental health services. The Better Access Scheme is a government program offering Medicare rebates for mental health care. To access the program you will need to be assessed and diagnosed by your GP and get a Mental Health Plan. This will allow you to receive up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions a year with practitioners who accept bulk billing, with no out of pocket costs for you.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Therapists who are part of a professional organisation such as the ACA, PACFA, or the APS are bound by an ethical framework that requires them to uphold a confidentiality agreement. Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship and only under specific circumstances, such as when there is the potential or known harm to the client or others or when a minor is in danger, will a therapist be obligated to break the agreement. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed during the initial consultation.
