I am a clinical psychologist consulting with adults and young people to help them overcome challenges, reduce anxiety, depression and stress, and achieve greater understanding, contentment and meaning. I provide a strengths-based approach which is open-minded, compassionate and authentic, leading to the development of alternative perspectives and relief from psychological distress. I work with people who may be struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, obsessive thinking, challenging circumstances, adjustment to change, relationship issues, work or career issues with self-confidence or self-esteem, or deeper existential issues.
I utilise a range of therapeutic modalities including evidence-based approaches that focus on the provision of practical, skills-based techniques (Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical and Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), as well as dynamic therapies including Schema Therapy, IPT and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
In addition I have a special interest in psychological assessment of children and adults to gain deeper insight and practical recommendations for a range of disorders and concerns e.g. ADHD, learning disabilities, personality and behaviour problems utilizing gold-standard psychometric tools.
