Hi, I'm Victoria and I'd like to help you work through this difficult time. It’s not easy reaching out so I’m pleased you are making the first steps. I have a background in both Social Work and Counselling which is helpful as I can draw from both disciplines to best support you. I started my career in the UK as a Children and Families Social Worker and have since gained a broad range of experience in the therapeutic field including trauma, mental health, family, and relationship-based issues. I also have a passion for supporting people with ADHD and tapping into their neurodiverse strengths from a lived experience.
I use a Person-Centred approach to our sessions. This involves working alongside you, supporting you to overcome hurdles and empowering you to recognise and develop your innate strength and worth. I draw from other approaches and techniques such as evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal and Schema Therapy.
I would recommend you using the free 15-minute consultation to get a feel for whether I will be a good fit for you. You are welcome to do this via e mail or phone, I'm happy for you to bring someone to your first session if it helps you feel more comfortable. I also have a friendly little dog that puts people at ease. I offer appointments after work hours.
